The game breaking bugs strike again

So, I thought I'd just squashed all the game-breaking bugs ten minutes ago. Little did I know that it's important to tell the game to select a save slot so that data can be saved. You know what they say, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me."

The game now writes data to save slot 1 if no valid slot has been chosen. I apologize for any save data that may have been lost due to my idiocy.
